As a longtime listener of Set Lusting Bruce, I was honored when host extraordinaire Jesse Jackson (not THAT Jesse Jackson) asked to interview me on his wonderful podcast, which you can listen to by clicking here. Spoiler alert: Bruce (Springsteen) is the main subject of our conversation. Based on his recent setlists, diversity must be on Bruce’s mind at the moment, undoubtedly due to Trump’s Muslim immigrant ban. To find evidence in support of this claim, one must only consult the words he used to introduce the tour premiere of “American Land” in Adelaide during his first concert after the ban:
“Write All Nite is a website, NOT a fucking blog.”
You can tell a lot about a show by how Bruce greets the audience at the start. For his last of three nights in Perth, he went with, “GOOOOOOOOD EEEEEEVEEEEEEENIIIIIIING WEEEEEESTEEEEEEEEERN AAAAAAAAUSTRAAAAAAAALIAAAAAAA!!!”
